This Level 2 Diploma in Engineering – Manufacturing Technology course is intended for students wishing to learn high-quality practical skills in an engineering workshop environment together with industry-underpinning principles. You’ll need four GCSEs, including Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above, plus two other relevant subjects at Grade 3/D or above. We’ll also consider other BTEC based qualifications.

The Level 2 Diploma in Engineering – Manufacturing Technology course requires a minimum of 30 hours of work experience.
The college will assist with your placement, but students are encouraged to find their own as part of industrial familiarisation.

Guest speakers from industry are frequently invited to the college and there are also visits to local companies and engineering exhibitions.
Apart from the external examinations, all other units are assessed by observation, short answer tests and skills-based assessments recorded in a portfolio of evidence.
