The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development has been designed to be studied full-time over 2-years to provide students with the opportunity to develop a broader knowledge base and technical skills needed to excel as a sports coach.
LEVEL 3 – You should have a minimum of four GCSE’s at Grade 4/C or above.
The course involves a range of units to increase your understanding of different aspects of sports coaching principles and sports therapy, as well as practical experience in working with athletes at various levels.

You will have the opportunity to assist with coaching in local primary schools, coach overseas in Spain, and experience top level coaching first-hand with trips to St Georges Park, Twickenham, and Edgbaston.
The course will combine a mix of theoretical and practical learning and include a range of assessments from written reports, portfolios, verbal assessments, presentations, and practical observations. There are no examinations for this course.
