Certificates were presented to adult learners last night to mark their successful completion of the FIS Build Back Drylining Programme.
Funded through CITB, Build Back is a collaborative recruitment and induction programme run by FIS (the not for profit representative body for the £10 billion finishes and interiors sector in the UK).
The FIS connects employers, funding and candidates to help find the next generation of dryliners.
Learners are now qualified in constructing and boarding walls, ceilings and bulkheads, and preparing surfaces for a paint finish.
Lorraine Gregory, Senior Event Manager at CITB says:
“CITB is thrilled to support the Buildback programme to engage learners with the drylining and construction sector. Sandwell College have delivered a high standard of teaching to the students preparing them for the workplace which will further support the needs of the construction industry.
