The Level 3 Award in Education and Training qualification provides an introduction for those new to teaching and training or those wishing to teach or train. It is designed as a qualification, which will equip a wide range of teachers and facilitators with the basics they need to teach. It does not entitle candidates to teach in the sector, but it is an entry qualification which allows progression to the Certificate in Education and Training and/or the Diploma in Education and Training. You must have a Level 3 in subject specialism required (L2 only in some circumstances), and a good level of written and spoken English must be demonstrated at the interview.

The Award comprises three units, listed above, with a total value of 12 credits. It will consist of 48 contact and 48 non-contact hours. The course will be delivered over three hours per week, 6pm - 9pm, over a 16-week period, on Wednesdays 6-9PM.
Assessment methods include written work and delivery of a micro-teach.
This Level 3 Award in Education and Training qualification allows progression to the Certificate in Education and Training or the Certificate in Education/Professional Graduate Certificate in Education.
