Congratulations to our Hairdressing & Beauty Therapies team who were announced as runners-up for Outstanding Industry/Employer Engagement at the Association of Hairdressers & Therapists (AHT)/PACE Awards and Gala Dinner.
The award acknowledges the special achievements of colleagues, and recognises the college’s partnerships and links that have been developed within the industry and employers, and also initiatives for staff CPD opportunities.
The awards are open to individuals from colleges, private training providers, schools or industry, employed in Training and Education in the Hair and Beauty Sector.
Nominations were judged by an external independent panel of industry and educational experts representing City & Guilds, Awarding Body QUALIFI, and the Hair and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA),
The Hairdressing team attended a full agenda of activities in Blackpool, including practical skills in hairdressing/barbering, beauty therapies and make up artistry, demonstration workshops, keynote speakers, professional updates from industry specialists, awarding organisations and educational professionals.
The weekend conference contributes to continuous professional development hours and provides a networking event to share good practice and discuss topical issues.
