Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Nail Technology

This Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Nail Technology course will consist of practical and commercial salon workshops to develop your skills and theory sessions to develop your knowledge.

You will study the following units:

• Promote and sell products and services to clients
• Business practice
• Anatomy and physiology for hands and feet
• Enhance and maintain nails using light-cured gel, including hard gels
• Liquid and powder nail enhancements
• Create and apply nail art
• The creation and presentation of a mood board, look book and an industry portfolio
• Enhancing nails using electrical files

You are also required to undertake 30 hours per year of work experience and 30 hours per year of enrichment activities.

• One portfolio of creative work
• Two externally set, externally moderated assignments
• One externally set, externally marked exam, sat under examination conditions
• Synoptic Practical Assessment
• Enhancing nails using electrical files - Assignment

On successful completion of this Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Nail Technology - Technical Route, you will be qualified to work in a salon as a nail technician.

You could also progress to Level 3 Beauty – Massage and Electrical Route, or to University for Level 4 Aesthetics or a Salon Management Degree.
