If you already have some management/leadership experience or if you plan to become a manager/ leader in the future, then a CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership course may be ideal for you. The course will equip you with an introduction to the knowledge and skills required to be a successful manager/leader within a wide range of organisations and across a variety of employment sectors.

The Flexi-Study approach combines one day a month of face-to-face classroom teaching with independent distance learning, using online, on-demand learning materials which are available 24/7. The monthly classes are delivered on a Friday from 9am to 5pm at the College’s ‘Tomorrow’s People’ centre at 13 Bennetts Hill in Birmingham City Centre. New Street Station and Snow Hill Station are only a few minutes’ walk away and the area is well served by buses and trams.

How much does the course cost?

The total fee for this course (including registration and certification) is £2100.

HOWEVER, if you live within ‘West Midlands Combined Authority’ region, you may be eligible to a FREE place on this course subject to certain terms and conditions.

You must have a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above including English or equivalent qualifications. You will also have a CMI Level 3 Diploma in Management and Leadership or similar Business or Management qualification at level 3 or above.

HOWEVER, if you are a mature applicant (over 21 years) your work experience (paid and/or unpaid) may be taken into account in lieu of formal qualifications.

You will study seven units:-

· Principles of Management and Leadership in an Organisational Context

· Principles of Developing, Managing and Leading Individuals and Teams to Achieve Success

· Managing Finance

· Creating and Developing Operational Plans

· Managing Stakeholder Relationships

· Managing Change

· Using Reflective Practice to Inform Personal and Professional Development

Whilst on the course, you will be given FREE professional membership of the CMI, which includes access to a range of CMI products and services to support you throughout the qualification and later as you progress in their career.

Each unit is assessed by one written assignment of approximately 2,500-4,000 words.

On successful completion of this course, you can progress to the CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership. After achievement of the Level 5 Diploma, you may be eligible to apply for full membership (MCMI) or even Chartered Membership of the CMI (CMgr).
