This Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification is aimed at learners working in support roles within schools and colleges. It provides you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work in a variety of unsupervised job roles that support children and young people’s learning in schools or colleges.

Lessons will take place Tuesday 9-12PM at Central Campus.

You will need to be at least 19 years old. You will also need to be working or on a practical placement in a learning environment (school or college) for the duration of the taught programme of study. We recommend you undertake 100 hours of placement in a real world environment.

This Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification provides learners with an understanding of the knowledge needed when working directly with children and young people in a school or college environment. It will enable learners to gain an understanding of elements including children and young people’s development, safeguarding their welfare, and communication and professional relationships. To achieve the Certificate you must complete 11 mandatory units.

This Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification will be internally assessed by your Lecturer and Assessor.

The Level 3 Certificate enables progression to the Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or into the workforce.
