This course is suitable for parents and people who work with children.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
This is a two-day course, which runs from 9am till 5pm each day, at Central Campus or employers’ premises. Course content includes First Aid for Infants and Children; Priorities of First Aid; Unconsciousness and Recovery Position; CPR; Control of Bleeding; Treatment of Shock; Choking; Fractures; Burns; Electric Shock; Illness Recognition; Minor Injuries; Reporting Accidents; and First Aid Kits. The cost of this course includes a first aid manual. Courses are available for groups of up to 12 people.
There will be three tests on CPR, Recovery Position and Control of Bleeding.
