Student Leaders Speak Up: Sandwell Colleges Represent at National NUS Conference 2025

We were incredibly proud of our Student Union President, Anmoldeep, and Emmanuel, Student Union Secretary at Cadbury Sixth Form College who recently represented The Sandwell Colleges at the National Union of Students (UK) Conference 2025.

Held annually, the NUS Conference brings together student union representatives from across England to discuss the most pressing issues facing students and apprentices today. This year, over 150 student leaders gathered to share ideas, challenge the status quo, and shape the future of education.

Anmoldeep and Emmanuel joined vital conversations on student funding, cost of living pressures, and the essential role that student unions play in advocating for change. Delegates also explored how students can stand together against far-right extremism and work to build more inclusive learning environments.

Their participation reflects the powerful impact of student leadership within our colleges and the importance of empowering young voices in shaping education. At The Sandwell Colleges, we are committed to nurturing leadership, encouraging debate, and allowing every learner to make a difference. We’re incredibly inspired by Anmoldeep and Emmanuel’s passion and dedication.

Together, our student leaders are helping to build a brighter, fairer future for all.
