Rising and inspiring stars of the future got the chance to shine at Sandwell College’s apprenticeship awards ceremony.
The worthy winners were all nominated by their employers to mark the celebration of National Apprenticeship Week 2017.
Overall star Abdul Mannan is an apprentice service support assistant for Sandwell Council’s Children’s Services department.
Second star went to Courtney Chapman, a Sandwell College apprentice hair stylist working at Noggin Hair in Wednesbury.
Third star was Courtney Evans, a college dental nursing apprentice working at Bradley Shorthouse Dental Clinic in Kidderminster.
Successful nominations came from a whole range of companies and organisations who work with the college and council to provide the highest quality training.
The star award nominees were Andrew Richards from Guest Trucks, Karen Watkins and Emma Harrison from Scott Arms Dental Practice, Jak Willetts from Sytner BMW in Oldbury, Fionn Dolan from Noggin Hair, Ashleigh Belnavis from Socket & Allied Screws, Chloe Gorton from Options for Life, Maryam Ledgister from The Hawthorns, Paul Smith from SWBH NHS Trust, Sunaina Ria from Deol Dental, Emily Westley from Manor House Museum, and Lucy Taylor, Kelly Millward, Brogan Langford and Chloe Palfreyman from Sandwell Council.
