We are the Champions! Our students have been training to become Safeguarding Champions at Sandwell College and help other students who may be facing issues.
Trainer Pardeep Brar from Sandwell Council’s neighbourhood services was really impressed with the quality of the students’ contributions and how well they worked together.
The students were presented with certificates of completion and badges at a celebration lunch with the College Vice-Principal David Holden.
Student Francesca summed up perfectly why she wanted to put herself forward for this important opportunity: “I didn’t always get the help I needed when I was growing up, which is why I wanted to help others. I think it’s so much better talking to a person of your own age as you don’t feel judged.”
