Young audiences have been transported by the genie of the lamp to Sandwell College this Christmas.
Performing arts students have staged the funny and fast-paced pantomime Aladdin for more than 900 children from primary schools across the borough.
The traditional script has a few surprises along the way courtesy of a slightly deranged panda called Tyson and a feisty kung-fu fighting princess. Technical Theatre students have been working hard behind the scenes perfecting the lighting and sound for the big annual event.
Team leader Emily Chell, who has directed the panto, said: “This is a really good show for all the family to enjoy.”
Performances of the panto take place today and tomorrow, with evening productions starting at 7pm.
Tickets are available on the door.
