This Level 2 Award in Nail Technology is an assessment-based qualification to develop your practical skills to provide an effective nail service for clients. It is suitable for adults and full-time beauty students aged 16-18 who wish to upskill their own professional development.
You will need to have GCSE Grade 3 or above in English and Maths, or ESOL at Level 1 or equivalent.

The course runs Monday 4.30-8.30PM at Sandwell College.
There are a range of in-house and external competitions you could enter.
Practical elements of the course will be assessed in our state-of-the-art salons, and you'll be required to produce a portfolio of your work throughout the course. There are five exams which are externally marked, and all practical work will be logged in your VTCT assessment book.
On successful completion of the Level 2 Award in Nail Technology qualification, you can progress to a hairdressing or beauty pathway, studying Level 2 Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy. You can also study any of our other short courses to develop your skills.
Future career opportunities include employment in nail salons and self-employment running your own mobile business.
