This one-year Level 2 Vehicle Body Repair course is for 16-19 year-olds who want to learn and develop lots of practical skills associated with the repair of vehicle bodies. The course is ideal for learners who have a Level 1 qualification already, or previous experience.
You’ll have previously completed a Level 1 Vehicle Body and Paint Refinishing qualification. You’ll be able to demonstrate a professional attitude and have excellent communication skills.
This is a full-time course of about 16 hours per week. Learners have the best opportunity to experience a wide variety of body repair activities, including Body Repair, Welding and Paint Refinishing. At the end of the programme you will achieve a Vocationally Related Qualification in Body Repair at Level 2 along with one functional skill.
You will have three weeks of enrichment activities as part of your course. Activities may include trips to Blackpool, London, Baggeridge Country Park, Malvern or Dovedale, Coventry Motor Museum, plus mountain biking, go karting, ten pin bowling and ice skating.
Assessments vary from practicals, online testing and oral questioning, to some assignment work. Support will be given to any learner if required.
Successful completion of this Level 2 Vehicle Body Repair course will give you automatic entry to the Level 3 programme. The Advanced Apprenticeship Programme is also an option.
