If you want to do some management training to further your career but don’t currently have the time to commit to attending regular classes, then the CMI Level 5 BITESIZE programmes in Management and Leadership may be ideal for you. CMI BITESIZE programmes are innovative practical online learning experiences, made up of a collection of short content playlists aligned to key management and leadership topics relevant to today’s world. In effect, they are ‘digital journeys’ that develop your managerial and leadership talents. Aimed at both practising and aspiring middle managers/leaders, these programmes focus on relevant and key topics, include lots of practical guides and tools to support your job role, and will equip you with new skills and knowledge to support you moving forward in your career.
You must have gained a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above including English or equivalent qualifications.
Ideally, you will also have a CMI Level 3 Diploma or similar qualifications at level 3.
However, if you are a mature applicant (over 21 years) your work experience (paid and/or unpaid) may be taken into account in lieu of formal qualifications.
You can choose from the below CMI Bitesize Programmes:
CMI Bitesize is a practical and completely online learning experience. Each programme is available for three months from the date of registration and is supported by a three-month CMI subscription.
The programme start dates are flexible and delivered on demand, however, completion of each programme must be achieved within three months of registration.
You will need to complete a self-assessment before and after each programme to benchmark how far you have developed your understanding of each topic.
Throughout each programme, you will be required to complete activities to reflect on your learning. These reflections will then be shared with your tutor at the end of the programme, to enable you to demonstrate your learning and share how you plan to apply this learning within your organisation.
For each programme completed, you will receive a ‘Certificate of Achievement’ to evidence your Continuing Professional Development.
After completing one Bitesize programme, you may be able to sign up to another programme in the ‘Change Management’ series or to another programme in a different series.
If all programmes in a series are complete, you will then have the opportunity to complete a final assessment to gain a CMI Level 5 Award in Management and Leadership. If you choose to pursue this option, you will be embarking on a clear pathway to gain additional qualifications such as the CMI Diploma in Management and ultimately achieve the status of becoming a Chartered Manager.
Other progression opportunities include moving on to CMI qualifications at the next level, for example, the CMI Level 6 Certificate in Professional Management and Leadership Practice or CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership.
