This Level 2 Hair Professionals Apprenticeship (Hairdressing or Barbering Route) is designed for school leavers and adults. We are a multi-award-winning hairdressing and beauty therapy team with years of experience in hair and skincare education and close links to industry professionals including AHT – Associate Hairdressing Federation. We regularly take on new collaborations and our passion is to create the stylists, colour technicians and salon owners of tomorrow.

The Level 2 Hair Professionals Apprenticeship involves working through 3 stages:
1. On-Programme Stage
You will attend college one day per week to develop your knowledge and skills, and the remaining 4 days will be in the workplace. You can select either Hairdressing or Barbering as an occupational route.

You will also need to achieve Level 1 English and Maths and take a Level 2 test if you have not achieved grade 4 or above at GCSE previously.
20% off-the-job training is required
2. Gateway Stage
You must have successfully completed the on-programme assessment and requirements agreed upon by both the employer and training provider.
3. End Point Assessment Stage
You must carry out an end-point assessment to assess your skills, knowledge and behaviours, which will consist of a practical assessment and oral questions. The overall grade will be Pass, Merit or Distinction.
Practical assessments will take place in the workplace throughout the course. You will also complete online knowledge tests for each unit.
On successful completion of this Level 2 Hair Professionals Apprenticeship (Hairdressing or Barbering Route), you will be qualified to work in a salon as a stylist. You could also study Hairdressing at Level 3 on an apprenticeship or full-time study route.
