To apply for this Level 3 Engineering Machinist Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard, you must have Maths Grade 4 and English Grade 4.
All apprentices will be required to achieve as a minimum:
Level 2 and/or Level 3 Technical Knowledge Qualifications. A grade of pass, merit or distinction will be applied to the knowledge qualifications of the Apprenticeship b) Level 2 Competency (Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours) will be assessed and verified in a sheltered/realistic environment with the Level 3 Competency (Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours) assessed and verified in the workplace with both qualifications using a variety of assessment methods including observation of performance and organisation job/work records/log books.
Apprentices will be assessed on a continuous basis with the final pieces of performance evidence accumulated typically during the last six months. On completion, a binary grade will be awarded for the competency qualifications. These will not contribute to the overall apprenticeship grade c) See Section E1 for the mandated qualification requirements for each occupational pathway.
On successful completion of the Level 3 Engineering Machinist Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard, you could go into higher education, or progress onto one of the following career routes:
