This BTEC Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Public Services is a one-year course for school leavers wishing to pursue a career in one of the uniformed public services, such as:

This Level 1 BTEC Public Services Diploma includes a variety of enrichment activities. Examples of guest speakers and activities include:

You will go on at least one residential, where you will be assessed in practical and vocational settings. Throughout the BTEC Level 1 Public Services Diploma, you will work alongside a range of public service professionals who support teaching, learning and assessment.
On successful completion of this BTEC Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Public Services qualification you can go on to study the Level 2 Extended Certificate in Public Services. Alternatively, you could apply to join the uniformed public services.
