The Foundation Diploma in Business is equivalent to one and a half A Levels and allows progression to the National Extended Diploma in Business. It is a practical, one-year work-related course, focusing on the development of a range of specialist business skills.

The Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Business is ideal for those wishing to pursue a career in business, exploring a number of different areas such as marketing, finance, administration, customer service and human resources.
The one-year course will develop further understanding of the world of business, equipping students with both the knowledge and practical skills needed to gain employment in the industry. The course will cover themes such as:

There are various trips and activities throughout the programme such as paintballing and Alton Towers. You could also get involved in managing fundraising events for Sport Relief, business brunch planning sessions, and attending seminars at the cinema.
There are six units on the course, four of which are internally assessed and two which are externally assessed through examination. All units must be successfully achieved to gain the qualification.
Once you successfully complete this Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Business you may wish to top up to the full Extended Diploma.
Following this, you can study an HNC/HND in Business Management, apply for university, or choose to specialise in a particular area such as Accounting, Human Resource Management, Marketing or Management.
You can also study for a relevant professional qualification such as AAT or CIPD. The Level 3 National Diploma is a useful qualification that can lead to employment in a wide range of sectors.
