You’ll need GCSE Maths and English at Grade 1 or above.
This Level 1 Caring for Children Award/Certificate/Diploma qualification encourages an understanding of the knowledge and skills needed to care for young children. It covers children’s growth, learning and development. There are also units to help with self-development.
The department puts on a range of activities and trips for learners, with a week put aside each term to focus on your personal development, team skills and experience of the wider world beyond where we live and learn.
You will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include tasks such as designing charts or leaflets, coursework or methods such as oral questioning.
On successful completion of this Level 1 Caring for Children Award/Certificate/Diploma, you can progress to a Level 2 course.
