The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Sport, Fitness and Personal Training has been designed to be studied full-time over 2-years to provide students with the opportunity to develop a broader knowledge base and technical skills needed to excel as a fitness instructor and personal trainer.
LEVEL 3 – You should have a minimum of four GCSE’s at Grade 4/C or above.
The course involves a range of units to increase your understanding of different aspects in the fitness and sports industry, as well as practical experience in working with athletes at various levels.

You will have the opportunity to develop practical skills through hands-on experience in gym settings, sports clubs, and other fitness facilities.
The course will combine a mix of theoretical and practical learning and include a range of assessments from written reports, portfolios, verbal assessments, presentations, and practical observations. There are no examinations for this course.
Successful completion of this Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Sport, Fitness & Personal Training will allow you to progress into higher-education sport-related degree programmes, or enable entry to an apprenticeship or employment in the health and fitness industry.
This BTEC qualification attracts UCAS points which can be used for application to Higher Education.
You are also eligible to apply for professional accreditation with the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) and the Chartered Institute of Management for Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA).
