Adult English and Maths Courses

About English and Maths For Adults

Did you know we are offering FREE* English and Maths courses to adults?

Whether you missed out on the opportunity to obtain GCSE Maths and English while you were at school, or you want to improve your grade, we’re offering you the chance to gain the qualifications employers require. GCSE English and Maths will allow you to take the next steps in your career, or progress into further study.

You will be required to commit to six hours of learning a week. Three hours will be taught at Sandwell College. Lessons will take place from 6pm-9pm on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening. The remaining three hours will entail self-study via VLE (Moodle), the Sandwell College online learning network.

To enrol on this course you will be invited for an initial assessment. This assessment will allow us to determine your current level and to advise you further.

We will also be offering free* Functional Skills English and Maths daytime classes on various days and times.

Functional Skills English and Maths evening classes will run for 20 weeks for all levels. English classes will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays from 6-8pm. Maths classes will be on Wednesdays or Thursdays 6-8pm.

*Eligibility criteria apply. Please bring proof of your income or benefits to enrolment.
