This National Apprenticeship Week 2025, we are thrilled to highlight two outstanding individuals, Dawid and Jay, who have excelled in their respective fields and received well-deserved recognition at The Sandwell Colleges’ Apprenticeships’ Star Awards 2025!
Dawid – Engineering Finalist Award
Dawid, an apprentice at Tennant Distribution Limited, has demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill throughout his apprenticeship. Completing his 12-month course in just 10 months, Dawid consistently delivered high-quality results. Despite English not being his first language, he impressively passed all Functional Skills assessments on his first attempt. His commitment was further reflected in his 100% attendance, strong leadership abilities, and advanced technical expertise. Now fully equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge, Dawid is set up for a promising engineering career.
Jay – Painting & Decorating Award Winner
Jay, an apprentice at New Era Painting and Decorating Services Ltd, has successfully completed his Level 2 Painting & Decorating apprenticeship and secured full-time employment. Jay’s journey has been marked by his strong work ethic, reliability, and excellent timekeeping. His confidence has grown tremendously, allowing him to develop essential industry skills and improve communication with colleagues, management, and customers.
Both Dawid and Jay exemplify the power of apprenticeships in achieving career success.
