Former Sandwell College Fashion student and rising star Hannah Corns has launched her own successful clothing brand HUMANOS.
Hannah founded the award-winning urban fashion brand after noticing how individuals were being affected by events such as Brexit and terrorism. She created HUMANOS to connect people and build a community.
Hannah, who gained Distinction at Sandwell and went on to graduate with a 2.1 in Fashion Promotion from the University of South Wales, was named a Rising Star in Business in Wales last year for her rapidly growing business.
During her time at university, Hannah styled photoshoots for Topman’s social media, as well as participating in Graduate Fashion Week in London and finishing in the final Top 10 in the 3INA Styling and Creative Direction Award.
Hannah’s personally crafted designs are inspired by her perception of society and translated into geometric shapes and patterns.
She says: “I started to build my business in Cardiff just over a year ago. I have worked with professional mentors over the last 12 months who have given me business guidance and advice. My ambition is to become a well-known fashion brand with good ethos. The name of the brand translates to ‘humans’ in Spanish and Portuguese, and also reflects the core goal and values of the brand which are to unite people and create more inclusive and kinder communities and help to reduce hate crime.
“I would like to reach out to say thank you to Sandwell College and my tutors Sarah and Jill, as the qualifications, skills and knowledge I gained led me on the right path to where I am now with my own successful fashion brand HUMANOS.”
During the coronavirus crisis HUMANOS has been recognising people for their good deeds in the community. Find out more on their website, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube
