Strong partnerships are being forged with healthcare employers and Sandwell College in a bid to shape future training.
Camino Health Care, Community Engagement Sandwell & West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, Learning and Development Sandwell & West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, Learning and Development West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, Project Management Birmingham Women’s Hospital Foundation Trust (working on behalf of Health Education England), Workforce Development Birmingham Women’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Compton Hospice, British Heart Foundation Sandwell & West Birmingham Clinical Commissioning Group were among those attending the first meeting of the new healthcare advisory board.
Health & Care Innovation Lead, Lesa Jones, said: “We are keen to partner, not compete, with existing training programmes. We want to learn from employers’ experience and hear their opinions.”
The advisory board meets up to three times per year and the next meeting is scheduled for Thursday 21 July, 1-3.30pm.
