Sandwell College’s very own Rachel Wallader has finished sixth in the shot put final of the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games!
Rachel, who is a work placement officer for the Supported Learning department, threw a distance of 17.20m in qualification, finishing third in her qualifying group after having thrown the fifth furthest distance overall.
That distance secured her spot in the final, where she threw a seasonal best of 17.48m.
Everyone is so proud of Rachel and her amazing achievements!
