Graduate designers will be showcasing their final collections on the catwalk at the Sandwell College fashion show.
The show is on Wednesday (June 10) in the main college atrium, and marks the students’ successful completion of their BTEC Diploma courses in Fashion and Clothing.
First year students have produced two collections: Colourful and Bright, inspired by the 80s with Rubik’s cube skirts and Ra Ra styling, and Monochrome Magic, featuring chequered Tetris-inspired umbrella skirts.
Second year students have ventured into the unknown with a Sci Fi men’s futuristic jacket collection, using space and time for inspiration, and a surrealist couture collection of evening dresses featuring elements of surprise and unexpected juxtapositions.
Central Campus in Spon Lane boasts state-of-the-art textile design studios with display windows overlooking the town for shoppers to see students’ work throughout the year.
There are shows at 1pm and 7pm. Tickets may still be available on the door.
