A huge congratulations to Harrison Dawes, an apprentice with Doocey Group, who has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Construction and Property Apprentice of the Year category at The Ladder for the Black Country Apprenticeship Awards, organised by the Express & Star.
Ahead of the awards ceremony, Harrison shared his excitement about being nominated: “I’m not nervous, I’m excited, but I think that’s because I don’t really know what to expect. I’ve won awards for football before, but not as an apprentice. I feel super proud and shocked to be nominated.”
Harrison’s assessor, Dean Rodwell from Sandwell College, commended his dedication and exceptional work ethic: “Harrison has been at the top of the group since day one. He stands out and catches your attention with everything he does. It’s always done with the highest quality and on time. I’m incredibly proud to be here alongside Doocey Group this evening to support Harrison. He is very deserving of this accolade.”
Kirstie Stuart, Head of HR and Support Services at Doocey Group, also played a key role in Harrison’s journey by nominating him for this prestigious recognition.
This nomination is a testament to Harrison’s hard work and commitment to his apprenticeship, as well as the invaluable support he receives from both Sandwell College and Doocey Group.
