Sandwell College celebrates BBC Children in Need

Sandwell College was bursting with colour, music, and community spirit during a spectacular celebration for BBC Children in Need, and it was all thanks to the incredible efforts of our Early Years and Education department.

This year’s event was nothing short of unforgettable, bringing students and staff together for a day packed with fun, creativity, and charitable purpose. From high-energy DJ entertainment and beautifully intricate henna art to exciting raffles and a surprise visit from Pudsey Bear himself, the college was buzzing with excitement and positivity.

All of this was in aid of a fantastic cause: raising funds to support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. And thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our college community, we raised over £530 which is a testament to the power of coming together for a good cause.

“It was amazing to see so many people getting involved and supporting the event,” said Jane Bissell, Head of Section – Early Years and Education. “Our students put in so much effort to make the day special, and we’re so proud of the positive impact we’ve made.”

These kinds of events are about more than just raising money, they give our students the opportunity to take initiative, and engage with the wider college.
