The Sandwell Colleges has officially been awarded Membership to The Chartered Institution for Further Education (CIFE), marking a significant milestone in its history as a leading provider of education and skills training. The prestigious Chartered Status was recognised during an esteemed Admissions Ceremony held on Thursday, 12th December 2024, at the historic Apothecaries’ Hall in the City of London.
The ceremony led by Lord Lingfield brought together leaders in further education to recognise colleges making a significant impact in developing skills, raising aspirations, and driving economic growth. Representing The Sandwell Colleges at the event was CEO & Principal Lisa Capper MBE, who formally received the Charter on behalf of the College.

Chartered Status underscores The Sandwell Colleges’ position as a centre of excellence in education, with a focus on addressing skills gaps, fostering career readiness, and creating pathways to success for young people and adults through technical and vocational training, A Levels, T Levels and apprenticeship opportunities.
The Sandwell Colleges, which includes Sandwell College, Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form and Cadbury Sixth Form College, continues to lead the way in delivering inclusive, high-quality education for young people, adults and with employers across the West Midlands and beyond.
