As part of Careers Week 2025, we are putting a spotlight on the incredible journeys of our alumni and how their time at The Sandwell Colleges helped shape their careers.
We are incredibly proud of Uniqua Brown, whose journey from Sandwell College to a thriving career is a true testament to the power of skills, opportunity and determination.
Uniqua achieved Triple Distinction in her Extended Diploma in Business, which led to an Excellence Scholarship at Aston University. She then went on to graduate with a Masters Degree in Business & International Relations, building a strong foundation for her future.
Fast forward to today, and Uniqua is making a real impact. After securing a Civil Service internship, she is now Business Process & Change Manager at the West Midlands Combined Authority. Recently, her team celebrated a double win at the WMCA Xtra Awards.
“My lecturers at Sandwell College believed in me and always pushed me to try my best,” says Uniqua.
Her journey is a perfect example of how the right support, skills, and experiences can open doors to exciting career opportunities. A huge well done to Uniqua – an inspiration to our current students.
